How does WiFi actually get to your phone without any wires? Your router acts like a tiny radio station, constantly sending invisible radio waves through the air. Wait, so WiFi is literally just radio waves? Pretty much! But WiFi uses special high-speed frequencies to carry data instead of music. So what happens when I load a video? Your phone sends a quick radio request, the router grabs the video from the web, and beams it right back. Why does my connection get so slow in my bedroom then? Thick walls, metal objects, and even your neighbor's router can block or mess up those radio signals. Learning how these wireless signals work is actually the first step to mastering cybersecurity.
