Today I'm filming something I never thought I'd have to. My wife, Elara, is gone. I came home to our den last night — and she wasn't there. All she left behind was this. One little wildflower. Not from around here. So yeah — I'm going to find her. Night one. I followed her scent east, past the river bend. My feet hurt. I kept going. Night two. Cold. Rain. Found a broken twig and a footprint — hers. I cried a little. Don't tell anyone. Night three, I almost quit. The fog was so thick I couldn't see two trees ahead. But I thought — she wouldn't quit on me. So I didn't. And then — I heard her. Singing. That low humming she does when she thinks nobody's listening. She'd followed a trail of those wildflowers to a meadow she'd always wanted to show me. She wasn't lost. She was waiting. Here's what three nights in the fog taught me: love doesn't always look like staying. Sometimes it looks like laying down a trail and trusting you'll follow. Elara says hi, by the way. And no — I'm not telling you what she hummed. Some things stay in the meadow.
