Full transcript of Wigglepup Discovers the Truth About Farm Animals
Every children's book lied. Farm animals do not go oink, cluck, or maa — and one golden retriever puppy just found out the hard way. Wigglepup trots into the main barn at Oak Hill Farm, tail wagging, fully confident. He has read the books. He knows the sounds. First stop — Barnaby. Eight hundred pounds of Hampshire pig. Wigglepup expected an oink. Barnaby delivered a low, chest-rattling rumble that vibrated straight through the puppy's paws. Wigglepup froze. Ears flat. Paws pressed to the ground, trying to figure out why the floor was talking. Next — Dot, Dash, and Speckle. Three fluffy Silkie chickens. No cluck. Instead, a high-pitched purring sound — like a miniature chainsaw warming up. And then there was Pippin. A three-foot Nigerian Dwarf goat who looked gentle. Sweet, even. Right up until she opened her mouth and screamed. Like a person. Wigglepup skidded backward straight into a pile of dry clover hay. All four paws in the air. Dignity: zero. By sunset, Wigglepup curled up on the porch — exhausted, humbled, and absolutely certain that Old MacDonald was lying to us all.
