At 3:14 PM, three hundred people lost control of their own shadows. In Oakhaven, Oregon, butcher Arthur Vance walked forward, but his shadow remained frozen on the wall. Within seconds, every shadow in town detached, mimicking movements before they even happened. Then, gravity reversed. Fallen raindrops flew upward back into the clouds, leaving the asphalt bone dry. Inside a pharmacy, shoppers looking in the glass counter didn't see their reflection. They saw themselves ten years in the future, staring back with absolute panic. By 3:17, it ended. Thirty-two residents never spoke again. The town is gone, but stand there today and your shadow points directly toward the sun.
