Imagine standing trapped between a raging sea and the most powerful army on earth. Behind you, thousands of Egyptian soldiers are charging. Ahead of you, there is no escape. Then, the impossible happens. For generations, the Israelites had been enslaved in Egypt — building a civilization that was never theirs. Then God chose an unlikely man — a shepherd named Moses — to confront the most powerful ruler on earth. Moses stood before Pharaoh in his throne room and delivered God's command: Let my people go. Pharaoh refused. Again and again, devastating plagues struck Egypt — darkness, locusts, rivers of blood. But it was the death of Egypt's firstborn that finally broke Pharaoh. He told the Israelites — go. Hundreds of thousands of Israelites poured out of Egypt — men, women, children, livestock — free at last. But Pharaoh changed his mind. He sent his elite chariots and soldiers racing after them. The Israelites reached the Red Sea — and there was nowhere left to run. Fear spread through the camp. People wept. Some cried out that they should have stayed as slaves. Then Moses raised his staff over the sea. And God sent a powerful wind that blew all night. The waters parted. Two towering walls of sea rose on either side — and the ground between was dry. Hundreds of thousands of Israelites stepped onto the dry seabed and walked toward the other shore. Behind them, Pharaoh's chariots entered the seabed in furious pursuit — wheels churning the sand. The last Israelites reached the far shore. Then Moses stretched out his hand once more. The walls collapsed. Colossal waves crashed together, swallowing Pharaoh's army completely. What seemed like certain defeat became the greatest miracle in history. The Red Sea wasn't just a miracle of escape. It was a reminder that when God's people face an impossible situation, He makes a way where there seems to be no way. What impossible situation are you trusting God to make a way through today?
