We often think we are alone in our daily grind. But fear is a silent passenger. A young woman stands in a dim elevator, exhausted after a brutal shift. Beside her, a stranger. Unmoving. Staring blankly at the metal doors. As the numbers tick down... Four... three... The lights flicker. The air grows heavy. At floor two, the car jolts to a halt. The doors slide open... Revealing a freezing, pitch-black hospital corridor. Standing in the shadows is a pale child. Motionless. A blue patient tag hanging loosely from a tiny wrist. The silence becomes unnatural. Heavy. Instinct takes over. Panic sets in. She smashes the close button. The metal doors drag shut, painfully slow... Trapping the child in the dark. Safe. Or so she thinks. As the elevator resumes its descent... The silent woman slowly turns her head. And in a dead, hollow whisper, she asks... Bakit hindi mo pinasakay yung bata? Some demons are already inside with you.
