Your dog isn't stubborn. You're just moving the treat too fast. In ninety seconds, they can learn to spin on command—without you ever touching their body. Grab a single piece of freeze-dried beef liver. Hold it directly against your dog's nose, gluing their attention to your hand. Now, move your fingers slowly in a tiny, two-inch arc toward their shoulder. The millisecond their neck bends to follow, mark it. Say 'yes,' and release the food immediately. Repeat this exactly three times to build the connection. Next, extend the motion into a wider half-circle. Watch their back legs shift to keep up with the scent. On the seventh attempt, draw a complete three-sixty circle in the air. They will follow it all the way around. Now, the magic trick. Hide the treat in your pocket. Make the exact same hand motion with an empty hand. The moment they rotate, reward them from your other hand. Stop dragging your dog in circles and causing frustration. Let their nose do the work. Real communication isn't about physical force; it's about matching their speed.
