Before you close your eyes tonight, let me tell you about finding peace in a stormy world. The ancient story of a man named Noah, and a massive boat. Thousands of years ago, the world grew heavy with trouble and sadness. God saw this burden and decided the earth needed to be washed clean. But first, He needed to save the gentle and the pure. He chose Noah, a kind man who kept his heart focused on God. God gave Noah a monumental task: build a giant wooden ark. Noah worked tirelessly, shaping heavy timber day after day. Even when people mocked his work, Noah stayed perfectly calm. He knew he was building a sanctuary of safety. Then came the gentle command to gather the animals. Two by two, they arrived. Male and female, large and small. A perfect balance of nature stepping into the quiet hold of the ship. Noah's family followed, sealing the heavy wooden door behind them. Then, the first drops of rain began to fall. It poured relentlessly for forty days and forty nights. The waters rose high, washing away the noise of the old world. Inside the ark, it was safe, warm, and deeply peaceful. They floated above the chaos, trusting their wooden sanctuary. Eventually, the heavy rains stopped, and the dark clouds broke. The waters quietly receded, revealing the jagged peaks of mountains. Noah opened a window and released a white dove. It returned carrying a fresh green olive branch. A sign that new life was beginning. The storm was over. Stepping onto dry land, the air was finally clean and clear. God painted a brilliant rainbow across the sky. A permanent promise of love, vowing to never flood the earth again. Just like the earth found rest, your mind can rest tonight. Let go of the day's storms, and sleep well.
