Slideshow maker with music

Make a photo video slideshow with music, smooth transitions and captions for TikTok, Reels, Shorts or YouTube. You write one sentence for each slide, FacelessGenie makes a picture for it in the style you pick, then adds the soundtrack, the transitions and the captions. Want your own photos in it? Open the finished video in the editor and upload a photo into any slide.

How to make a slideshow with music
  1. 01

    Write the slides

Open the creator, choose Script and write one sentence per slide in the order you want them. "Mia's first steps in the garden" becomes one slide, "her first day of school" the next.

  2. 02

Pick the look and the music

Choose a visual style, a music mood and whether an AI voice reads the lines or the slideshow plays with music only. Vertical 9:16 fits phones, the YouTube format makes a 16:9 video.

  3. 03

    Put your own photos in

When the video is ready, open it in the editor. Upload your own photo into any slide, change the track if you have one, and render again.

About this tool

What this slideshow maker does today

Right now a slideshow starts from words, not from a photo upload. Each sentence you write becomes a slide with a picture made in your chosen style, and the video comes out with music, transitions between slides and captions. Your own photos go in afterward: the editor lets you replace the picture on any slide with an image from your device and render the video again. Starting a slideshow by uploading a folder of photos is not available yet.

Slideshows for birthdays, weddings and memorials

Occasion slideshows work best as a short story told in order. For a birthday, one slide per year or per favorite moment. For a wedding, how you met, the proposal and the day itself. For a graduation, the first day and the last. For a memorial, keep the lines simple, choose a calm music mood and leave out the voice so the photos and music carry it.

Picking music for a slideshow

Pick a music mood such as calm, uplifting, dreamy or cinematic and a fitting track is made for the video, so you don't need to find a song or worry about licensing. If you already have the song you want, open the video in the editor and upload your own audio instead. Upbeat moods suit birthdays and travel, calm and dreamy suit weddings and memorials.

Vertical slideshow or widescreen

A 9:16 vertical slideshow fits TikTok, Reels, Shorts and a phone held up at a party. For a TV at a reception or a YouTube upload, pick the long YouTube format for a 16:9 video. Slides change with fade and zoom transitions, so the pictures play like a video.

Frequently asked questions

Can I upload my own photos?

Yes, in the editor after the first render: open the video, upload a photo into any slide and render again. Starting a slideshow straight from a photo upload is not available yet, so each slide begins as a sentence and a picture made in your style.

Can I use my own music?

Yes. By default a track is made for the video from the music mood you pick. To use a song you already have, open the finished video in the editor and upload your audio.

Is the slideshow maker free?

You can start on a free account. Making the video uses credits, and the cost shows before anything renders. Videos on the free plan carry a small FacelessGenie watermark that paid plans remove.

How many slides can a slideshow have?

Each sentence becomes a slide, and a vertical video can run up to two minutes. For a longer slideshow, pick the YouTube format, which makes a 16:9 video that can run much longer.

Can I make a slideshow without a voice?

Yes. Choose No voice and the slideshow plays with music and captions only, which suits weddings, memorials and travel videos.
