AI B-roll

AI B-roll is supporting footage generated by AI instead of filmed or licensed from stock libraries. It illustrates what the narration describes — any scene, any era, any style — without a camera crew, and unlike stock footage it can match one consistent visual style across an entire video.

AI video generator

An AI video generator turns a text prompt into a finished video. Complete generators handle the whole pipeline — writing the script, recording an AI voiceover, creating and animating every scene, adding music, and timing captions — while single-model tools only produce short raw clips you still have to edit together.

AI voiceover

An AI voiceover is narration generated by a text-to-speech model instead of recorded by a human. Modern voices carry natural pacing, emphasis, and emotion, making them the standard narration method for faceless videos. Good systems also let you pick a voice, adjust stability and speed, or clone a specific voice.

Brainrot video

Brainrot video is a genre of absurdist, hyper-stimulating short-form content — surreal AI characters, chaotic scenarios, and meme logic — designed for maximum watch-through and shares. The name is self-aware internet slang. The genre took off in 2025–2026 as AI generation made surreal visuals cheap to produce.

Faceless video

A faceless video is a video where the creator never appears on camera. The story is carried by narration, captions, and visuals — animation, AI-generated scenes, gameplay, or stock footage — instead of a talking head. Faceless channels are popular because they scale without filming and protect the creator's privacy.

Faceless YouTube channel

A faceless YouTube channel publishes videos without the owner ever appearing on screen. Content is made with narration over visuals — AI-generated scenes, animation, stock footage, or gameplay. These channels monetize through the YouTube Partner Program like any other channel, provided the content is original.

Image-to-video

Image-to-video (I2V) is an AI technique that animates a still image into a video clip. Because you approve the image first, you control exactly how each scene looks before it moves — which makes it the standard way to keep a consistent style and characters across a multi-scene video.

Prompt-to-video

Prompt-to-video describes the complete workflow where one written prompt becomes a finished, publishable video — script, voiceover, scenes, music, and captions included. It differs from text-to-video, which names the underlying model technique that generates raw clips rather than complete videos.

Text-to-video

Text-to-video (T2V) is an AI technique that generates moving video directly from a written description. The model imagines both the imagery and the motion in one step. It excels at dynamic scenes but gives less control over exact composition than generating an image first and animating it.

Word-by-word captions

Word-by-word captions highlight each word at the exact moment it's spoken, instead of showing full sentences at once. They dominate short-form video because most viewers watch muted — the moving highlight holds attention and makes speech readable at feed-scroll speed.

YouTube automation

YouTube automation is running a channel as a system: content is produced on a schedule by tools or a team rather than filmed personally by the owner. Modern automation generates videos from prompts on a fixed cadence. Done honestly — with original, valuable videos — it's a legitimate channel model; re-uploading others' content is not.
