What is an AI video generator?
An AI video generator turns a text prompt into a finished video. Complete generators handle the whole pipeline — writing the script, recording an AI voiceover, creating and animating every scene, adding music, and timing captions — while single-model tools only produce short raw clips you still have to edit together.
The term covers two very different products. Model-level tools (text-to-video or image-to-video models) generate a few seconds of raw footage per prompt — impressive, but you still need scripts, voiceover, music, captions, and editing to make a publishable video.
Pipeline-level generators orchestrate everything: one prompt becomes a script, the script becomes planned scenes, each scene is generated and animated in a consistent style, a narrator reads the script, music is composed to match, and captions are timed word by word. The output is an upload-ready file, not raw material.
The quality of the result depends heavily on the prompt: a sharp claim, concrete details, and one clear style direction consistently outperform long vague descriptions.
