Refund & Cancellation Policy

1. The short version
FacelessGenie does not offer refunds on subscriptions or credit purchases. Generating a video uses real GPU time on third-party AI providers, and those costs are spent the moment you click Render. Once we've paid for the compute, we can't get it back.
In rare cases — extended outages, accidental double-charges, or obvious billing errors — we may refund any unused credits on your account at our sole discretion. Used credits are not refundable.
Lifetime plansare a one-time purchase and are non-refundable once access has been used. The meaning of “Lifetime”, the guaranteed minimum term and our right to make fair-use adjustments are set out in section 8 of our Terms of Service.
2. Cancelling a subscription
You can cancel your subscription at any time:
- Open Settings → Billing
- Click "Manage Billing"
- Follow the prompts in Stripe to cancel
Your plan stays active until the end of the current billing period. After that, no further charges are made and your account drops to the Free tier. Any unused credits remain on your account until spent — they don't expire.
3. Why no refunds
Every video pulls real money out of FacelessGenie before you ever see it:
- Script generation runs on premium LLMs (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google).
- Voice synthesis runs on ElevenLabs or Kokoro.
- Image generation runs on FLUX, Nano Banana and similar.
- Video clips render on Lambda and image-to-video models.
- Final compositing renders on AWS Lambda.
We're charged the moment the pipeline runs, whether you keep the video or not. Because of this, we cannot refund credits that have already been spent — even if you decide later you don't want the output.
4. Exceptions (rare-case refunds)
We will review refund requests on a case-by-case basis when:
- You were charged in error (e.g. a double-charge after a Stripe retry).
- An extended platform outage prevented you from using credits you'd just purchased.
- You purchased a credit pack within the last 7 days, have used none of it, and want it reversed.
In all of these we will only refund unused credits. Used credits stay used. To request a review, email hello@facelessgenie.ai with your account email and a short description.
5. How approved refunds are processed
Where a refund is approved, it will be credited to the original mode of payment used for the purchase. We do not issue refunds by cash, bank transfer or to any other card.
Refunds are processed within 10 to 45 days, depending on your credit or debit card issuing bank. FacelessGenie initiates the refund promptly once approved; the time it then takes to appear on your statement is determined by your issuing bank.
As FacelessGenie is a digital service, the standard return-and-refund scenarios apply as follows. A refund of unused credits may be considered where:
- You were charged for the wrong product or plan.
- A purchase was defective — for example, the service did not deliver the credits or access you paid for.
- A technical fault on our side prevented the service from being delivered.
- Your account or payment was tampered with or charged without authorisation.
6. Chargebacks
Please contact us before opening a chargeback with your bank or card issuer. Most disputes are billing miscommunications that we can resolve directly in a day. Accounts with chargebacks issued without prior contact may be permanently suspended.
7. Changes to this policy
FacelessGenie may modify this Refund & Cancellation Policy at any time. Changes are effective immediately upon posting on this page. We will not retroactively apply new terms to a refund request already in review.
