FacelessGenie uses its image model, Grok Imagine Quality, to paint the scenes of a video, then animates them, records a voiceover and adds captions and music. FacelessGenie uses the Grok Imagine image model. It does not offer Grok Imagine video. Each scene starts as a Grok Imagine still. In AI Images videos the still stays on screen with camera motion over it, and in Character Video it is animated into a moving clip. The image model is strong at realism and detail, and it can use the previous scene as a reference so a video keeps a consistent look.
Free access on xAI's own apps has changed several times. Reports in March 2026 said free image and video generation moved behind X Premium and SuperGrok, and a September 2026 snapshot of xAI's plan table showed images on the free plan and video on paid plans only. Check xAI's current plan page for the latest. On FacelessGenie there is no xAI plan involved: Grok Imagine images use FacelessGenie credits, and new accounts get trial credits.
Grok Imagine Quality is a strong default for realistic and cinematic scenes. For a lower cost per image, Nano Banana 2 or FLUX.2 Turbo are options. For precise characters, props and multi-reference scenes, GPT Image 2.5 and Nano Banana Pro sit in the higher tiers. You pick the image tier per video, and the cost updates as you switch.
Grok Imagine on X makes single images and short clips. A YouTube or TikTok video needs more than that: a script, a voice, many scenes that match each other, captions and music. FacelessGenie keeps the part Grok Imagine is good at, the images, and builds the rest of the video around them in one render. If a scene comes out wrong, re-roll that scene in Studio and keep the others.
Keep the subject, lighting and palette the same in every scene description, and change only the action and the framing. "Same lighthouse keeper, grey wool coat, storm light, close-up of his hands on the logbook" holds a look better than starting each prompt fresh. In FacelessGenie the script step writes these per-scene prompts, and the option to use the previous scene as a reference keeps the style from drifting.
Choose AI Images for narrated videos made of generated scenes, in vertical or 16:9. Character Video also uses Grok Imagine in its lower image tiers.
